DC

David C.

British expat, Phuket · Welcome Workshop

"I came in not knowing quite what to expect and left with a printed guide I actually refer to. The pace was slow enough that nothing felt rushed, and the session leader was genuinely open to questions. It gave me a much clearer sense of what I need to discuss with a proper financial adviser."

Siriporn R.

Thai national, Mueang Phuket · Records Organizer

"I had boxes of papers going back many years and no real idea which ones mattered. After two sessions with the Eldernest organiser service, I have a filing system I understand and a checklist to keep it tidy. The templates are practical and the person who helped me was very patient."

Margaret H.

Australian retiree, Phuket · Companion Program

"The Companion Program took several weeks and honestly I was not sure I'd stick with it. I did, and I'm glad. The discussion groups were the highlight — talking with people in similar situations helped me realise the things I was confused about were things most people find confusing. The modules were readable and never patronising."

Robert K.

German expat, Karon · Welcome Workshop

"Very clear, very calm. After living in Thailand for twelve years I still did not fully understand pension-related vocabulary in English or Thai. The workshop clarified the basics in a way that actually made sense. I also appreciated that nobody tried to sell me anything."

Prapairat L.

Thai national, Chalong · Companion Program

"I signed up because a friend recommended it. I had thought it would be dry and complicated. It was neither. The planning frameworks in the modules helped me think through things I had been putting off for years. I feel calmer about the future now, which was all I was really hoping for."

James M.

New Zealand expat, Patong · Records Organizer

"Good value for what it is. I had been putting off organising my documents for about three years. The working session was practical and the templates are sensibly designed. My one small note is that I'd have liked a second follow-up check, but overall it was time well spent."

A Few Participant Journeys

The Starting Point

David had lived in Phuket for nine years on retirement savings, with a small UK pension beginning soon. He understood very little about how UK pension drawdown worked and felt nervous asking questions that might expose his ignorance.

What Eldernest Provided

The Welcome Workshop introduced pension terminology in plain English. A follow-up enrolment on the Companion Learning Program gave David the structured modules to work through at his own pace alongside others in similar positions.

How He Felt Afterwards

David reported feeling ready to contact a qualified UK pension adviser for the first time, with a prepared list of specific questions. He described the experience as removing a background worry he had carried for years.

The Starting Point

Siriporn had accumulated a drawer full of loose papers, old statements, and documents she could not quite categorise. Some may have been important; she simply did not know. The disorder was causing steady low-level anxiety.

What Eldernest Provided

The Home Records Organizer service involved two working sessions. The Eldernest coordinator worked through the papers with Siriporn, explained what each document type generally represented, and set up a labelled filing system using the provided templates.

How She Felt Afterwards

Siriporn described the experience as "a weight off." She now knows where her important papers are and uses the upkeep checklist each quarter. She has since recommended the service to two friends.

The Starting Point

Margaret and her husband had recently both retired and moved to Phuket. Neither had a clear picture of how their different pension arrangements fitted together or what they needed to organise for the years ahead.

What Eldernest Provided

Both attended the Welcome Workshop together before Margaret continued with the Companion Learning Program. The group discussion sessions were particularly valuable — other participants raised considerations that had not occurred to them.

How She Felt Afterwards

Margaret described the program as turning an overwhelming topic into a manageable one. She and her husband then booked a session with a qualified financial planner — better prepared and far less daunted than they would have been beforehand.
